The focusing helicoid ensures precise and smooth focusing with the Athena 14mm T2.4 and generally with the Athena Prime series. With an impressive 300-degree focus throw, filmmakers can make fine adjustments and achieve optimal sharpness - crucial for creative manual focusing and image composition.

The Athena Prime series was specifically developed to minimize focus breathing and maintain the frame and composition. The result is smooth and even focusing. 

Fluorescent scales optimize readability in low-light conditions, in the studio, or during night shoots. This further facilitates focusing.

Optimal Image Quality in Full Frame

The lenses of the Athena Prime series were developed for full-frame cameras with a 46 mm image circle to optimally utilize the entire sensor area and provide high image quality up to the edges - ideal for high-resolution full-frame cameras. 

The Athena 14mm T2.4 offers exceptional optical performance, excellent sharpness, and contrast for clear, vibrant images. Precise construction and high-quality optical elements minimize distortion and imaging errors.

Drop-In Filter

A special feature of the NiSi Athena Prime Cinema lenses is the integration of drop-in filters in the E-, RF-, and L-Mount versions. 

This innovative filter solution allows filmmakers to insert ND or Vario-ND filters directly into the lens without having to change the front lens. This speeds up the filter change and simultaneously reduces the risk of dust and dirt on the optics.
