A significant advantage of the NiSi Athena Prime lenses is their uniform weight and size (except for the 135mm lens), eliminating the need to rebalance the gimbal when changing lenses and saving valuable time on set. The lenses feature a 77mm filter thread (except for the 14mm lens) and matching aperture and focus rings for the entire series, simplifying the use of lens accessories. The 300° rotatable focus ring with fluorescent focus scales allows for precise focusing, essential for sharp, dynamic shots.

Drop-in Filter Holder

The Athena Prime lenses are equipped with a drop-in filter holder (only L-, RF-, and E-Mount; PL-Mount is equipped with a rear filter holder), offering filmmakers a more flexible workflow and greater creative control. By simply adding ND, polarizing, or other filters, the desired look can be achieved without having to attach filters to the front of the lens. This feature also allows for quick and efficient filter changes, saving time and reducing the risk of lens damage.
