The NiSi 75x100mm Medium IR GND is a rectangular filter that darkens specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while leaving other areas unaffected.
Medium Transition
The filter is densest at the edges and becomes lighter towards the center, with a medium transition between the dense and light areas. A neutral density filter with a medium transition is particularly suitable for photographing buildings, small mountains, and other objects that extend far into the sky. The transition zone of a medium filter is 40% smaller than that of a soft GND filter and is excellent for shooting at sunrise and sunset.
True-to-Life Colors
The NiSi GND filters do not affect the color rendering of the image, offering true-to-life colors and are made from high-quality optical Schott glass with a multi-layer nano-coating to ensure the preservation of every detail.
Infrared Coating
When using neutral density filters, the camera can become susceptible to infrared light, which can cause an unwanted red color cast in photos at small apertures. The NiSi GND filters feature an infrared protection coating that blocks infrared light through the lens, ensuring natural, lifelike color reproduction.
